    It’s the “giant” Christmas edition of the iconic Elwood PS Community Market! There will be an enormous array of stalls (over 100!) full of gifts, vintage goods, second-hand treasures, art, books, jewellery, face painting, plants and all sorts of bargains and beautiful items. Indulge in all the delicious food – Elwood Coffee Roasters beans in the espresso machine, sausage sizzle, artisan bread, home-made cakes, and fruit and vegetables straight from the farm.     The peninsula pop-ups continue! This time we’ll be at the Tootgarook Primary School, home to a fantastic range of handmade arts and crafts, local and fresh produce, gourmet foods, plants, bric-a-brac, clothing and much, much more. We’ll be there with our gorgeous selection of pre-loved apparel, handmade jewellery and lovely paper goods, mostly from the U.S. Pacific Northwest. More product is added to our assortment all the time, so come along to find your new favourite frock or statement earrings.     Join us on October 28 for an Oh Ramona pop-up event at Rye Foreshore Market. Visit our stall to browse our curated selection of vintage and pre-loved apparel from the US Pacific Northwest (sizes XS – 3X) and our range of uplifting & irreverent artisan paper goods (cards, stickers and art prints) designed by women and LGBTQIA+ designers from the Pacific Northwest, including Citizen Ruth, Lovesome Dove and Tender Loving Empire. The market is a community fundraiser for the Rotary Club of Rosebud-Rye and is classified as a “Make, Bake and Grow” market, aiming for 70% of stalls to sell homemade or home-grown goods.

    Well, the year’s most anticipated film has finally arrived, delighting women and girls all over the world. In the United States, the Barbie movie made history, with the highest-grossing opening weekend ever for a film directed by a woman. Congrats, Greta Gerwig! And while I haven’t seen the film yet, I feel like I’m seeing it everywhere. My social feeds are jammed with Barbie-themed posts and LOTS of Margot Robbie, who stars in the titular role.     June is such a wonderful month in the United States! The sun starts to come out for extended periods, the days are longer, and everywhere you look, you see rainbows! June is a time to celebrate LGTBQIA+ pride, and commemorate the first Pride marches that were held in several American cities in 1970, following the previous year’s Stonewall uprising.
