Made in sunny California and now available in sometimes-sunny Melbourne, it’s Nooworks! From the beginning, Nooworks has been a labour of love for fashion, art, and sustainability. Founder Jennifer D’Angelo began with silkscreening her own art onto shirts, creating intentional, wearable art. 

Expanding to more artist friends and adding more designs, Nooworks continued to grow into the serotonin-boosting wonder it is today. Every piece is a celebration of art and design, using unique patterns and bold colour combos that have come to embody the Nooworks flair.

Why we love Nooworks

Unique, artist-led wearable designs are only the start of the goodness from Nooworks. From humble beginnings in a San Francisco apartment, all Nooworks textiles are now printed in Los Angeles using industrial rotary printing presses, reducing shipping emissions and supporting local textile manufacturing. 

Each garment is a thoughtful creation and collaboration between artists and designers to create limited-edition pieces, based on the values of sustainable fashion and supporting the art community. It’s slow fashion at its best!

Nooworks makes the effort to source all the materials it can from the US to reduce emissions and waste, which we absolutely love! Making incredible, quirky fashion while committed to helping the planet. 

The best part? Nooworks wants everyone to be able to wear the fashion and art they want to wear. Nooworks designs are carefully created to fit a wide variety of sizes and shapes, making them the perfect fit for Oh Ramona’s commitment to inclusive and diverse fashion. Frida Dress: Cheetah Head

Freely fancy, the Frida dress is made from Nooworks’ lightweight cotton poplin, featuring an easy pullover crew neck, capped sleeves, empire-waist and tiered ruffle skirt. It’s preshrunk, so you can trust the try-on, plus hidden pockets!

Designed by LA-based artist and animator Robin Eisenberg, Cheetah Head brings the feminine with a fierce edge, creating a unique statement look for ultimate dopamine dressing. Pair with your favourite boots for a chic boho outfit.

 

Linen Naomi: Super Bloom

Whimsical florals and reflecting the inner landscape, Super Bloom by artist Dana Kohlmann carries spring throughout the seasons; wear it any time with the comfy Naomi dress. Soft, breathable linen, with a tank-style top and pleated skirt that drapes wonderfully while keeping a relaxed fit.

Designed by award-winning artist and printmaker Anisa Makhoul, The Guardians embodies wearable art, using bold colours and symbolism to create visual storytelling and connection. For the complete look, check out The Guardians Prairie skirt.

Skater Pant: Candy Weave

The Nooworks Skater Pant is all utility without the boring. Now you don’t need to pick between practical and fun, you can have both! With cargo-style cut, wraparound utility pockets (yes, real pockets!), and cut from cotton twill for durable, regular wear.

As fun as online shopping can be to discover new brands and looks, it’s difficult to know what sizes are right for us without trying them on first. Inclusive and diverse fashion is one of Oh Ramona’s core values, because we’re all different! Size is one thing, but how does it feel? Is it your style? Is it what you want to wear? Clothes can fit and just not feel right, and we all deserve to feel good about our clothes. Fashion should be open to everyone! 

Unique, quirky, sustainable, women-owned, there are many reasons to love Nooworks. If one combo isn’t your style, it’s no worries! Using tried and true designs and textiles, you can find what feels right for you. If a design isn’t quite what you like, the fit and sizing will be consistent through Nooworks styles. That means some real relief when a new design is released; it takes the pressure off to know what fits and feels great to wear. At the moment, Oh Ramona is the only Nooworks stockist on the east coast of Australia, and our Hawthorn boutique has a range of dresses, tops, pants and shorts in a variety of Nooworks designs. If you’ve loved Nooworks from afar, but never had a chance to try on the fits in person, now it’s possible!
